Project Angel Food is a non-profit organization that prepares and delivers
meals to men, women and children in Los Angeles affected by HIV/AIDS and other terminal
illnesses. For the past 3 years CSM has had the privilege of bringing our groups to Project
Angel Food to work in the kitchen and deliver meals to clients. During this time we have a
massed over 5,000 hours of service valued at approximately $50,000 in manpower!
On April 22, 2006 Project Angel Food honored CSM with the Group of the Year
award, saying: “We couldn’t be more grateful to CSM for bringing us ever-changing groups of
generous, thoughtful, committed, and trustworthy individuals. We are always excited to see
CSM on the schedule because we know it will be a great, friendly, motivated group. CSM is
not just one of our best groups this year, but every year.”
Project Angel Food gives us the opportunity to put our faith into action.
Jesus makes it very clear that his followers are to feed the hungry and heal the sick.
Every meal we help prepare and deliver allows us to do just that. It is an honor to partner
with an organization that serves a population that is too often overlooked and under-loved.
- Kelly Reed, CSM LA co-City Director
